Accomplishments
Work on a major project at the Grand concluded in December 2009 with installation of a permanent floor and handicap accessible entry on the theatre’s south side. The $125,000 project is the result of over two years of work by friends and supporters of the Grand and was funded by many generous donations, memorials, Centennial Celebration proceeds from 2007, in-kind donations, successful fundraisers and major grants.
Much work remains to return this local architectural treasure to usefulness as a multipurpose community auditorium, entertainment and arts venue. To join in the effort to save the Grand for a new generation, call the Main Street office at (940) 495-3758.
