Hotel/Motel Tax Advisory Board

Purpose

The Hotel/Motel Tax Advisory Board is responsible for advising the City Commission on recommended us of Hotel/Motel Tax funds that when used will increase tourism in Electra.

Accomplishments

For the past several years, part of the money collected from the Hotel/Motel Tax funds has been directed towards the popular Electra Goat BBQ put on annually by the Electra Chamber of Commerce.

Each year, the Electra Goat BBQ brings many tourists to participate in the cooking competitions, shop from vendors, listen to live music, and enjoy good food.
